MegaSpin High 5 is Microgaming’s historical multi-panel edition of High 5. The original desktop interface offers four, six or nine games, each with three reels and one centre payline. This review covers that edition rather than a game by the separate High 5 Games provider.
Original game and paytable screens

How the combined stake works
The stake is the number of games multiplied by coins per game and coin denomination. The pictured setting costs 6 x 3 x 0.20 = 3.60 currency units per combined spin. Each individual panel accounts for 0.60 of that stake. Changing to nine games at the same settings would cost 5.40; four games would cost 2.40.
The screen does not identify a currency symbol. Its denomination selector proves the pictured 0.20 setting, but does not establish every available denomination or present-day casino limit.
Verified coin awards
These are coin awards on one panel’s centre line, not multiples of the whole multi-panel stake. The game states that only the highest win is paid on the centre line.
| Combination | 1 coin | 2 coins | 3 coins |
|---|---|---|---|
| Three High 5 symbols | 2,000 | 5,000 | 15,000 |
| Three red sevens | 60 | 120 | 180 |
| Three blue sevens | 50 | 100 | 150 |
| Three mixed sevens | 40 | 80 | 120 |
| Three triple bars | 30 | 60 | 90 |
| Any two High 5 symbols | 25 | 50 | 75 |
| Three double bars | 20 | 40 | 60 |
| Three cherries | 10 | 20 | 30 |
| Three mixed bars | 5 | 10 | 15 |
| Any two cherries | 5 | 10 | 15 |
| Any one cherry | 2 | 4 | 6 |
Wild substitutions and their exceptions
One High 5 wild substitutes and pays five times the winning combination. The screen explicitly says a lone High 5 on the payline does not substitute for a cherry. Two substituting wilds pay 25 times the winning combination. The 25x instruction excludes cases where two or three High 5 symbols occur alone on the payline: use their separate paytable awards instead.
For example, two wilds completing a red-seven combination are different from the standalone two-wild award. Do not multiply the separate three-wild award by 25 again.
Worked payout examples
Using the pictured six-game, three-coin, 0.20-denomination setting, the combined stake is 3.60. Assume no other panel wins:
- Three red sevens: 180 coins x 0.20 returns 36 units gross, or 32.40 net after the combined stake.
- Two red sevens and one substituting wild: 180 x 5 = 900 coins, worth 180 gross and 176.40 net.
- One red seven and two substituting wilds: 180 x 25 = 4,500 coins, worth 900 gross and 896.40 net.
- Three High 5 symbols: 15,000 coins x 0.20 returns 3,000 gross, or 2,996.40 net. That is 5,000 times the winning panel’s three-coin stake, not 15,000 times the combined stake.
Other winning panels add to the combined return. Playing more panels also increases the amount staked.
Frequently asked questions
How many paylines does MegaSpin High 5 have?
One centre line per game. The interface offers four, six or nine simultaneous games.
Does a second wild simply double the first wild’s multiplier?
No. The displayed substitution multipliers are 5x for one wild and 25x for two, subject to the standalone-symbol exceptions.
Why does the three-wild award rise disproportionately?
The paytable gives 2,000, 5,000 and 15,000 coins at one, two and three coins staked per panel. The top row is not a simple linear progression.
Is 15,000 the cash jackpot?
It is the three-coin award in coins. Multiply it by the selected denomination for its monetary value. The displayed table uses a fixed award, not a live progressive meter.
Can I assume these screenshots prove current availability or RTP?
No. They document an older desktop edition. They do not establish a current casino offering or independently verify an RTP.
Evidence: World Casino Directory’s original game and payout screenshots, visually inspected for this review. The two distinct screens show the same six-game settings. Current availability and edition-specific limits should be checked in the actual game’s help.
