Older edition — looking for another slot?
This review documents a historical game edition. The archived rules and screenshots do not confirm current availability.
Explore Microgaming gamesRoman Riches is a historical Microgaming classic slot with three reels and up to five paylines. This review covers the desktop edition documented by LCB and World Casino Directory. Its Roman bust is a wild, and three busts have different fixed awards on different lines. Archive screenshots establish the rules shown here, not current casino availability.

Five lines and the coin value
The historical edition stakes one coin per selected line, up to five coins per spin. The screenshots show five coins selected at two different denominations: coin value 5 gives a 25-unit bet, while coin value 1 gives a five-unit bet. A coin is therefore not necessarily one unit of account currency. Neither screenshot establishes a universal current minimum or maximum deposit or stake.

Paytable and wild substitution
The Roman bust substitutes for all other symbols, as stated on the screen. The instruction above the reels pays only the highest win per selected line. A matching-bar win therefore does not also receive the lower mixed-bar award on that same line.
| Winning combination | Award |
|---|---|
| Three mixed bars | 4 |
| Three single bars | 10 |
| Three double bars | 40 |
| Three triple bars | 60 |
| Three sevens | 80 |
| Three busts on line 1 (purple) | 1,000 |
| Three busts on line 2 (blue) | 1,500 |
| Three busts on line 3 (green) | 2,000 |
| Three busts on line 4 (orange) | 2,500 |
| Three busts on line 5 (red) | 5,000 |
The coloured bust awards correspond to the numbered lines, not five amounts paid together for any three busts. The relevant line must be selected. These are fixed paytable awards, not a progressive prize pool.
Worked examples with the full stake
At the World Casino Directory screen settings, five coins at value 1 cost five account units. A single mixed-bar line would award four coins, or four units. With no other winning lines, that would still be a net loss of one unit for the spin. A displayed win is not necessarily a profit.
At the LCB screen settings, five coins at value 5 cost 25 units. A single three-sevens line would award 80 coins × 5 = 400 units, giving a net gain of 375 units if it were the only winning line. The 80-coin award is 16 times the full five-coin stake, not 80 times that stake.
Three busts on selected line 5 award 5,000 coins. At coin value 5, that is 25,000 account units against the pictured 25-unit spin cost, or 1,000 times the total stake. This calculation is conditional on that result; it is not a prediction or a reason to increase a bet. The archive does not establish a dollar-denominated jackpot for every version.
Features and edition limits
The documented classic edition has no separate free-spin or bonus round. The wild and line-dependent bust awards are its principal features. We have not independently verified an RTP or a complete current denomination range, so neither is presented as a universal specification. Check the rules of the exact game offered by an operator; similar titles can refer to different games.
Roman Riches questions
How many reels and lines does this edition have?
Three reels and up to five selected paylines, with one coin staked per line.
What does the Roman bust do?
It substitutes for all other symbols. Three busts also have their own line-dependent fixed awards.
Does any three-bust result pay 5,000 coins?
No. The red 5,000-coin award belongs to selected line 5; lines 1 through 4 have lower bust awards.
Are the paytable numbers cash amounts?
No. Multiply the coin award by the selected coin value to obtain account units, then compare it with the full spin stake.
Can a four-coin win leave the player down?
Yes. With five coins staked and no other wins, a four-coin return is a one-coin net loss.
Do these screenshots prove the game is available now?
No. They document a historical desktop edition and its visible rules; availability and current operator limits require separate checks.
