Older edition — looking for another slot?

Explore Microgaming gamesRuby Reels is a historical Microgaming classic slot with three reels and five paylines. This guide covers the desktop edition shown in the archived game screens at LCB and World Casino Directory. Its red ruby is wild, and three rubies have a different award on each numbered line. These historical images do not establish current casino availability.

Coins, lines and the displayed stake
Each additional coin activates another payline, up to five. The pictured controls show a denomination of 5, COINS 5 and BET 25.00: five active lines at one coin per line cost 25 account units. The images do not identify the account currency, so the examples below use units rather than dollars or euros.
The coloured numbers beside the ruby awards are payline identifiers. They are not five columns for increasing a bet on one line. Read the line number and its award together.

Paytable and wild symbol
The on-screen instruction identifies the ruby as wild for all symbols. Another instruction says that only the highest win is paid per selected line. Matching-bar and mixed-bar awards on the same line therefore should not be added together.
| Result | Coins awarded |
|---|---|
| Three rubies on line 1 | 1,000 |
| Three rubies on line 2 | 1,500 |
| Three rubies on line 3 | 2,000 |
| Three rubies on line 4 | 5,000 |
| Three rubies on line 5 | 2,500 |
| Three sevens | 80 |
| Three triple bars | 60 |
| Three double bars | 40 |
| Three single bars | 10 |
| Three mixed bars | 4 |
Both archived screens put the 5,000-coin ruby award beside line 4 and the 2,500-coin award beside line 5. The examples here follow those visible line labels. Do not assume the fifth line carries the largest award merely because it is the last line activated.
Worked payout examples
At the pictured denomination of 5, a mixed-bar award of four coins converts to 20 account units. The World Casino Directory screen shows that result alongside a 25-unit bet. If that is the only award for the spin, the balance falls by five units overall even though the interface displays a win.
With all five lines active at denomination 5, a three-ruby result on line 4 pays 5,000 coins, or 25,000 account units. Against the complete 25-unit stake, that single-line award is 1,000 times the total bet. It is not 5,000 times the five-line stake. With no additional awards, the net increase after the spin cost is 24,975 units.
A three-ruby result on line 5 instead pays 2,500 coins. At the same settings that converts to 12,500 units, or 500 times the full stake. These are payout calculations for specified results, not predictions of how often those results occur or advice to increase a wager.
Edition limits
The illustrated award is fixed by the paytable; it is not a growing progressive pool. Current coin limits and RTP are not asserted here. The sister-site listings contain differing denomination ranges, so a historical summary should not be treated as a universal present-day limit. Check the exact game’s controls and help screen before using these examples for another release.
Ruby Reels questions
How many reels and paylines are in this edition?
Three reels and up to five active paylines, with an extra coin activating another line.
Which symbol is wild?
The red ruby. The pictured instruction says it is wild for all symbols.
Which line has the 5,000-coin ruby award?
Line 4 in both inspected historical screenshots. Line 5 shows 2,500 coins.
Does a 20-unit win mean a profit?
Not on the pictured 25-unit spin. If it is the only award, the net result is a loss of five units.
Is the top ruby award 5,000 times the full five-line bet?
No. At one coin per line and five active lines, a 5,000-coin award equals 1,000 times the complete five-coin stake.
Do these screenshots confirm current casino availability?
No. They document the historical edition. Current availability and account settings must be checked separately.
