shoot slotShoot is a Microgaming slot game that is bound to be appealing to many football fans. It features 5 reels and 50 paylines, on which winning combinations will be formed.

The betting limits are quite liberal, allowing for a maximum bet of up to 100.00. This is accomplished by wagering a maximum of 20 coins per payline, that can have an assigned value between 0.01 and 0.10. This allows everyone to play the game, both players that wager their spare change, and the high rollers that bet very large sums.

Special Symbols

The symbols in this game portray various different football players that have gone down in history as being some of the best that have ever lived. There are also several other objects related to football that can be seen occasionally. However, the important symbols are only two- the Wild and Bonus. The Wild symbol can substitute for any other symbol in the game, except the Bonus, finishing combinations that you would otherwise have missed out on. The Bonus symbol serves the usual function, allowing you to trigger the so-called Shoot Bonus.

Bonus Rounds and Features

The Trade ‘em Bonus Round is one of the main bonus features that you will find in Shoot. It is triggered whenever you hit 3 or more Bonus symbols anywhere on the reels in a single spin. When this happens, you will be taken to a different screen, where you will get to pick 4 out of 16 football cards. Depending on your choices, you will get to receive cash prizes, free spins, or additional bonuses.

The free spins are one feature that may result from the Trade ‘em Bonus. You can activate it when you find a ‘Free Spins’ symbol beneath one of the trading cards. Triggering this feature will award you between 10 and 35 free spins, during which all winnings will be doubled. Unfortunately, this feature cannot retrigger itself, so this limits the potential winnings that you may receive from it.

The Magazine Bonus is the other special feature that can come out from the Trade ‘em Bonus Round. You will be taken to a different screen and get to pick and choose from 12 different magazines. Each pick will reward you with cash prizes, but there are two red cards hidden among the magazines. You will get to choose and receive awards until you hit a red card, which will bring the bonus to an end. For every magazine that you did not get to pick, you will also receive a consolation prize in the form of a winnings multiplier.

Overall, Shoot has an interesting theme and aesthetic, as well as some unique bonus rounds. Any football fan will rejoice to play this game, but that does not mean it is without issues. The way that the bonus rounds are structured makes it very hard to get into some of them. You would first have to trigger the Trade ‘em round and only after picking correctly will get you get to advance to the next two, which may not happen. The whole process is way too random, even for a slot game, and could have been avoided had all of the bonus rounds been independent of one another. Still, Shoot does have a lot of charm and we are sure that many players will be more than happy to play this game. We recommend that you first try it out in free mode before committing any real funds.
