Older edition — looking for another slot?
This review documents a historical game edition. The archived rules and screenshots do not confirm current availability.
Explore Microgaming gamesSteinfest is Microgaming’s historical five-reel, nine-payline slot with a German beer-festival theme, stacked wilds, free spins and a separate Beer Chug picking bonus. This guide covers the original desktop edition pictured in the archived 32Red client, rather than assuming that every later release uses identical settings.
The original help screens below establish the rules and payout units. They do not establish present-day casino availability, a certified RTP or a universal stake range.

Reels, paylines and the pictured stake

The controls show nine active lines, five coins per line and a total bet of 45 coins. At the displayed 0.05 denomination, that is 2.25 in the client’s monetary units per spin. The screenshot does not identify a currency, so the examples below do not label these amounts as dollars or pounds.
Ordinary line wins run from left to right, with only the highest win on each selected line paid. Scatter awards follow their separate total-bet rules. Nine paylines therefore does not mean nine winning combinations on every spin.
Paytable: line awards and worked examples

The following values are base coin awards multiplied by the number of coins wagered on the winning line. They are not multiples of the entire nine-line stake.
| Symbol | Three | Four | Five |
|---|---|---|---|
| Either matching waitress symbol | 50 | 500 | 2,000 |
| Mixed waitress symbols | 25 | 250 | 1,000 |
| Accordion player | 20 | 200 | 600 |
| Drummer | 15 | 150 | 400 |
| Tuba player | 10 | 100 | 200 |
| Turkey | 9 | 50 | 100 |
| Ham | 8 | 40 | 90 |
| Sausages | 7 | 30 | 80 |
| Hot dog | 6 | 20 | 70 |
| Pretzel | 5 | 10 | 60 |
For example, five pretzels on one selected line pay 60 × 5 = 300 coins at the pictured settings. With denomination 0.05, the gross award is 15.00 monetary units. If it is the only award, subtracting the 2.25 spin cost gives a net gain of 12.75.
Five identical waitress symbols pay 2,000 × 5 = 10,000 coins, equivalent to 500.00 at denomination 0.05. The original screen shows 2,000 as the base value, not 5,000. A qualifying mixed combination has its own lower award; do not add that to the higher matching-symbol award on the same line.
Stacked wilds
The Steinfest building-and-logo symbol replaces ordinary symbols but not the inn-sign scatter or beer-mug bonus symbol. Wilds appear in stacks, and the original help describes doubled stacks during free spins. This changes reel coverage; it does not create a separate multiplier to apply on top of every base-game line award.
Free spins and Beer Chug bonus

Three, four or five inn-sign scatters award ten free spins. The triggering line and coin settings carry over, wins during the free-spin feature are doubled, and free spins can retrigger. The Beer Chug feature can also trigger during free spins.
The inn-sign scatter table awards 1, 5, 10 or 50 times the total coin bet for two, three, four or five scatters respectively. Two therefore pay without triggering free spins. For a base-game example at 45 coins total, three scatters pay 5 × 45 = 225 coins, or 11.25 at denomination 0.05, as well as awarding the ten free spins. Scatter awards are added to qualifying line wins.
Three, four or five beer-mug bonus symbols trigger Beer Chug with three, four or five picks respectively. Additional bonus beers can be awarded. Its displayed symbol table also shows 1, 5, 10 and 50 for two through five symbols, while the help assigns Beer Chug awards to the total-coin-bet basis. The available screens do not list every possible pick prize, so this guide does not invent a pick-prize range or a maximum combined feature win.
Steinfest questions
How many paylines does this edition have?
The archived original desktop game has nine paylines across five reels. The pictured configuration uses all nine.
Are paytable values multiplied by the full spin bet?
Ordinary line values use coins per line. Scatter and Beer Chug awards use the total coin bet according to the original help. Mixing those units would overstate line wins.
Do two scatters start free spins?
No. Two inn-sign scatters have a payout, but the ten-free-spin feature needs at least three.
Can free spins retrigger?
Yes. The pictured rules allow retriggers and also allow Beer Chug to start during free spins.
Does this prove the game is available at a casino today?
No. These are historical desktop screens. Check the current casino lobby and the exact edition’s own help before relying on its availability or settings.
