Older edition — looking for another slot?
This review documents a historical game edition. The archived rules and screenshots do not confirm current availability.
Explore Microgaming gamesTriple Magic is a historical Microgaming three-reel slot with one centre payline and a blue-star multiplying wild. This guide covers the classic desktop edition shown in the Golden Tiger client screenshot below. It is not a guide to a similarly named game or a separate mini edition. The historical screenshot verifies the displayed paytable; it does not establish current casino availability or every possible denomination setting.

Historical game screen and paytable

How the classic edition works
Read the single horizontal line through the centre of the three reels. The screen states that only the highest win on that line is paid: overlapping interpretations of a result are not added together. Select one or two coins, check the coin denomination and total bet, then use the spin control. The illustrated client provides Bet One and Bet Max controls; the maximum coin count shown is two.
The denomination selector in this screenshot is set to 1. That observation does not verify the historical review’s claimed minimum denomination or guarantee that another casino offered the same range. If a version is available, its own controls and help screen take priority.
Verified paytable: awards in coins
The columns below reproduce the displayed one-coin and two-coin awards. Convert an award to currency by multiplying the awarded coins by the selected coin value. Do not multiply the two-coin column by two again.
| Centre-line result | One coin wagered | Two coins wagered |
|---|---|---|
| Any one cherry | 2 | 4 |
| Any two cherries | 5 | 10 |
| Three mixed bars | 3 | 6 |
| Three single bars | 10 | 20 |
| Three cherries | 20 | 40 |
| Three double bars | 25 | 50 |
| Three triple bars | 50 | 100 |
| Three sevens | 100 | 200 |
| Three blue stars | 800 | 1,600 |
Blue-star wilds and worked examples
The on-screen instruction identifies the star as wild for all symbols and specifies a 3× multiplier for one substituting star and 9× for two. Three stars have their own listed award; do not apply a further wild multiplier to that row.
- Ordinary win: with two coins wagered at a coin value of 1, three single bars pay 20 coins, equivalent to 20 currency units. The spin costs 2 units, so the net result is +18 units.
- One substituting star: two sevens and a star at the same stake use the two-coin seven award of 200 coins, multiplied by 3: 600 coins returned, or +598 units after the stake.
- Two substituting stars: one seven and two stars use 200 × 9 = 1,800 coins. This exceeds the separate three-star row of 1,600 coins. Calling that row the game’s absolute maximum would therefore be misleading.
- Three stars: the two-coin column pays 1,600 coins, equivalent to 800 times the total two-coin stake. It is not 1,600 times the total stake.
These are calculations from the photographed table and wild instruction, not predictions of how frequently a result occurs. No verified mathematical RTP document is available in the evidence used here, so this guide does not assign an RTP figure. The displayed awards are fixed paytable amounts, not evidence of an accumulating progressive pool.
Triple Magic questions
How many paylines does this edition have?
One: the centre line across three reels. The client states that only the highest win on that line is paid.
What do one and two blue-star wilds do?
A substituting star triples the completed combination’s award. Two substituting stars multiply it by nine. Use the paytable column matching the number of coins wagered.
Is the 1,600-coin star award the highest possible result?
No. The displayed seven award with two coins is 200; two substituting stars multiply that by nine to give 1,800 coins. Three stars instead use their own 1,600-coin row.
Does betting two coins double the return rate?
The table doubles each listed award when the stake changes from one coin to two. Both the amount risked and the listed payout increase; this is not evidence of a doubled return percentage.
Can I rely on the old betting limits or find the game everywhere?
No. The screenshot establishes a particular historical client, not current availability, supported devices or universal denomination limits. Check the version actually offered and its help screen.
