Older edition — looking for another slot?
This review documents a historical game edition. The archived rules and screenshots do not confirm current availability.
Explore Microgaming gamesWooly World is the historical five-reel Microgaming slot with frozen animals, a caveman substitute and 20 selectable paylines. This review uses two archived game screens from our sister site KeyToCasinos to explain the controls and displayed awards. The Microgaming credit is visible above the paytable. These screens identify the older edition; they do not confirm current casino availability.

Reels and stake controls
The reel screen shows three rows, numbered line markers and separate LINES, COINS/LINE and BET fields. Here, 20 lines at ten coins per line produces BET 200. With the displayed 0.01 coin value, that represents a total stake of 2.00 currency units, not 200 currency units. The practice balance is separate from the wager.

Changing active lines changes the total cost and the lines eligible for ordinary wins. Always read the actual cash stake before spinning. The screenshot demonstrates one setting, not the minimum or maximum available in every installation.
Verified paytable examples
The second screen is set to one line and one coin per line. Its ordinary-symbol awards are reproduced below as displayed coin amounts at that setting. They are not multipliers of a 20-line total stake.

| Symbol | 2 matching | 3 matching | 4 matching | 5 matching |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sabre-tooth animal | 5 | 100 | 1,000 | 5,000 |
| Stone compass | Not shown | 25 | 75 | 1,000 |
| K or Q | Not shown | 10 | 25 | 150 |
| J or 10 | Not shown | 5 | 15 | 100 |
Worked example: at one coin per line and a 0.01 denomination, the displayed five-sabre-tooth award is 5,000 × 0.01 = 50.00. If 20 lines are active at that same one-coin setting, the spin costs 0.20; this one line award equals 250 times that total stake. It is not a 5,000-times-total-stake win. This is arithmetic for the illustrated settings, not a prediction or a maximum-win claim.
Substitute, scatter and free spins
The paytable says the caveman substitutes for other symbols except the scattered Wooly symbol. Ordinary line symbols pay from left to right; the Wooly scatter is assessed anywhere. The reel-screen message confirms that three or more scatter symbols appearing together trigger the free-spin feature.
KeyToCasinos describes a selection of three frozen animals from five to determine the free spins, doubled wins during the feature and possible retriggers. Its prose and specification disagree on maximum coins per line, so we do not repeat a universal maximum stake. The archived screens do not independently establish the complete bonus limits or a wild multiplier. Check those in the installed game’s rules rather than assuming every wild-assisted win receives an extra multiplier.
Edition limits and availability
No verified theoretical RTP is stated here. A blank or zero value in a third-party listing is not evidence of a zero house edge. The images show a historical practice interface; current availability, mobile support, currencies and optional controls must be checked with the operator. For the general distinction between line stakes and total wagers, see our slots rules guide.
Wooly World questions
Who made this version of Wooly World?
The archived paytable carries the Microgaming credit. This article concerns that edition, not a similarly named game from another studio.
Does BET 200 mean a 200-unit cash stake?
No. In the illustrated screen, it means 200 coins. At a 0.01 denomination, the cash stake is 2.00.
Is the 5,000 sabre-tooth award based on the whole spin?
The illustrated paytable is set to one coin per line. Treat its ordinary symbol values as coin awards at that setting, not as multipliers of the combined stake across 20 lines.
Can the caveman substitute for the scatter?
No. The game’s displayed substitution rule excludes the scattered Wooly symbol.
How are free spins triggered?
The reel screen specifies three or more scatter symbols appearing together anywhere. The exact feature allocation and retrigger limits should be checked in the version being played.
Do these screenshots prove the game is available today?
No. They document an older interface and its visible rules. They are not an availability promise, a current operator offer or a verified RTP statement.
