In short: 888casino is an online casino launched in 1997 and run by evoke plc, formerly 888 Holdings, which also owns William Hill. It is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, the Malta Gaming Authority and Gibraltar, but left the US market in 2024. In June 2026 evoke agreed to be acquired by Bally’s Intralot.
888casino is one of the oldest and best-known names in online gambling. It launched in 1997 and is run by evoke plc, the London-listed group formerly called 888 Holdings, which also owns William Hill. It holds licences from some of the strictest regulators in the industry, including the UK Gambling Commission, the Malta Gaming Authority and the Government of Gibraltar.
What sets 888casino apart is its in-house game studio, Section 8, which produces exclusive slots you will not find elsewhere. These sit alongside thousands of games from major third-party providers, a live casino, and polished apps for iOS and Android.
Software and Exclusive Games
Unlike most online casinos, 888 builds many of its own games. Its Section 8 studio had produced more than 36 exclusive titles by 2025, including 888 Megaways and Buffalo Cash Wheels. The rest of the lobby comes from leading suppliers such as Pragmatic Play, Games Global, Playtech, Red Tiger, Hacksaw Gaming and Yggdrasil.
All games run in the browser or in 888’s apps. There is no need for a download client or plug-in.

This is a good casino, and I actually managed to wager my £88 an cashed out £825 for free!
I really like 888casino (and 888poker too). Lots of daily jackpots and good promotions. I feel good here and i can recommend it to anyone. 5 Stars from me!
Great casino plenty of slots, alot of freerolls poker like every 2 hours I recommend to all grinders
It’s working also for UK players. With lots of slots and no deposit bonus. Live chat available, no issues happy with them
888 poker has been the best poker site in my opinion for the past decade, and now they have actually put some focus into the’re casino.they have brought iin most of the top providers and are always adding more .best bonuses in the business never a prob getting paid.the poker side i have been a member for like 15-20 years and am a vip and get treated fair and slots run smooth.Overall 888 casino will always be my #1 gambling site.Class all around
IT was FOR me nothing but frustration .EVERY time I try to be a good happy gambling custumor, This casino is FOR me nothing bud bad luck because EVERY time I tried It never was working so i avoid this casino .
But FOR others i really hope they have more hot and winnings because I didn’t!!!
Welp, Casino is definitely on point with the design and easy to navigate around. Good bonuses for 1st comers, and a wide range of games available. I wish they had BTC for deposit available.
Class casino and poker room my goto never worried about getting paid great incentives and rewards system friendly and helpfull chat now that they have added some good providers and will continue to put some focus into slots ive increased there rating to a perfect 5 only casino that ive given that score too. 888 rocks im a lifer
sites kinda slow cause of the 3 iboxes but besides that solid choice of games and options always a good thing when gambling
I registered to join this casino due to it offering £88 ndb to try out the games. However my bonus didn’t transpire yet a few days later I received an email with a £15 no deposit code which credited my account. The spin time I found was really slow and I don’t think it was my WiFi as other casino’s didn’t give me a problem. Didn’t win using bonus & as Nicol3 mentioned the cash out time has put me off depositing.
I’ve deposited and played on this online casino for a couple of times if I am not mistaken. In all fairness I can say this is a good one though the providers I have seen there isn’t really the best of the best. I was looking for something more. I am a fan of PlayNGo, BGaming and iSoftbet slots. But all in all it looks decent. Though I was not successful to do any withdrawals at all, seeing the cash out time frame, it is something that actually made me not to deposit to there anymore. Those casinos with real time cash outs like that of Stake.com and Primedice are the ones I love the most.
Although they have a lot of games and the site looks good these guys will go a step further then other casino all in order not to have people withdraw any funds from their account by stalling and asking for the most ubussual of documents…i d recommend any other casino instead of this one
Not as big as they claim to be and not quick to pay me. They have some incredible progressives, but Who is winning these? I .ike the playability. I like the site, I like the games. I don’t like that I don’t win here and spend too much money.
I have found this great casino, great bonuses and good games in which I have obtained great profits and the verification process is quite fast, good customer service, without a doubt one of my favorites.
my favorite casino and poker site.Im playing here since 2009 and never had a problem cashing out my founds
@james0682 – please send me your casino username in private message inbox and we’re going to contact the Casino Representative.
I register an account but didn’t receive free spins as it was promised so I can not recommend this casino
Good all round casino I got the £88 free play for signing up an managed to cash it out for £120 definitely would recommend having a go on this
Great casino overall! Layout is very intuitive and there is a huge choice of game providers 🙂
@tobinc89 – could you please send me your casino username in PM inbox and we’ll ask the Casino Representative to check what happened.
I registered an account using the lcb link and verified my email and phone number and never got and free spins or no deposit offer, just a very bland 100% match bonus.
This was my first online casino ever. It was good casino, with many options to gamble from tournaments, poker, sports , slots, etc.. unfortunately they have restricted some countries recently including mine…
Use the casino a long time ago but no luck yet. Very good 88£ for new players bonus and sister site 888 games. Good true and honest one casinos. Recommended all.
Massive casino with lots of games. I have waited too long to get paid here on way too many occaisons. High limit blackjact pays best but I won’t be back here.
This website along site Every one of its partners on the 888 and cassava based sites are disgraceful!
I deposited into countless bingo and caisnos and after finally winning a large sum on one of there bingo sites, they closed all my accounts across the entire Cassava and 888 network, and i did not receive my deposits back or nothing! never EVER play at an 888 branded casino, the terms require you to only play for fun and not to win, its not a good set of terms very preditory! stear clear
I received an email to open an account and supposedly $ 88 free credits despite doing all the verifications, etc., I received $ 3 free and 2 tickets and supposedly the rest I would receive as I play and deposit in the casino. open an account and deposit but I prefer to be clear and not trickery
Such a great product that is let down by some very poor customer service. Every different software provider is on the site which results in too many games TBH. Ok payouts and they pay you quickly but it all feels a bit bloated.
Same as any cassava based bingo or slot site mainly eyecon and netent based, only downside is if you ever claimed an 888 games 888 bingo or 888poker your ineligible to claim the welcome bonus. Also too cryptic in its wording of bonuses e.g. 88 free actually means 88freeplay max winnings 20.. and that 20 u may or may not win also carrys a wagering req on top of which there is a max cashout .. talk about hurdles to clear lol
I’ve played here a couple of times but it’s been years (5 or more years ago) since I last made a deposit. There were better offers around which is mainly my biggest reason. 888 Casino offers promotions that ranges from a spin of a wheel in 888poker to having a $5 free poker chip that’s not limited to using it in the casino. Tournament tickets usually are for the Blast tournaments while others are from various freerolls which I don’t have the time for. Claiming these bonuses occur in the casino lobby or through their emails that confirms the bonus being credited. Most of my preferences are just poker and slots while 50% on live games like Dream Catcher and Monopoly lol
This is a pretty good site. I’ve been on it for a few year but I’ve never withdrawn money yet.
Thanks for sharing this great site.
One of the worst casinos for paying out. The games are fair and there are lots of excellent games and the CS is good until it comes to claiming your wins. Then they always mess you about! Big score on this site but not on any other sites.
I gave this casino an average rating. I have only played here a few times, and immediately I got very bored. They are lacking a lot of the several games I enjoy playing. maybe if they updated to some of the newer, more interesting games I would consider returning, but for now I prefer to play at a more progressive casinos. The site design is mediocre and laves alot to be desired. The sign up bonus is so so, as it is only offered on some of the most boring games I ever played at. . I really hope they update soon, so I can try it again.
one of my favorite casinos tons of perks for its players never problems withdrawing. Their slots are better now for Canadians since netent. still no play n go otherwise would be 5 star.will and will always be 1 of my goto casinos since i play poker hard to beat this site
First i have to say, that 888 casino is generous to there players, and have some good bonuses! They do have many nice slot games, betting options, online poker and so on! Personal I cant log in to my account anymore coursed suspection of abuse of my personal account! which i dont tink they took serrously, and handled very bad!
i use the poker app more from them but wen i won casino credits i saw that they have i nice selection of providers and last time i won with poker i go to casino so every time i get money from poker i use it in casino and they are add new games more and more so i think i gonne play more here and wait for nice bonus in casino if they have it but for now i play with the winnings from the poker and thats noth that often.but overall nice casino but nothing special.
I do not like the software they use somehow it glitches a lot and will not function. Therefore I have put them in my book of forgotten memories…Maybe someday I will try to remember to spend some time trying to sort it out with them. But after I downloaded the software and removed it and redownloaded it again and again I lost my motivation. There are after all so many other good casino and poker/sportbooks out there…who needs the hassle?
It looks good and plays well but when I get problems there are not enough staff to help me. Also I have friends that have had thier accounts closed after big wins.
Nettes Casino mit einem guten Registrierungsbonus. Viele Provider und Spiele im Angebot
Not my favourite casino even though offering a ridiculously high registration bonus. Played here once but won’t play again. Dislike the slots and the promotions are weak. Needed casino support but they were unreliable or non existent. Needs to really improve.
What a pathetic casino!! Just took my money . Went right down to nothing, didnt win a damn thing!!!
the page is nicely done, they offer a very friendly no deposit offer when you first sign up to try it out.
did not like that an extra pop up field appears instead of normally login, but that is just for me.
For me is one of the poorest casino.. have deposited good amount but still not able to get decents winnings and do an withdrawal.
Lots of slots to choose from! but i will leave this one for others and head to my lucky casinos 🙂
I played here for a couple of times. The games sems old fashioned for me. I should have tried and testedbt more but the color design doesnt really gives me the eagerness to log in. Maybe its not just for me but I hope someday Id be able to play again and see BGaming slots here. If I will thats gonna be a WOW
Wow! this is a great UK site but they are so nice and gave me VIP in 2 weeks. Good tournaments that enter you into international tourneys with proper seeds and big money games.
Offers good free bonuses, but will not honor them. I got kicked and banned just as I finished the wagering requirements on their welcome bonus at Swedish site
What can i say for 888 casino. They did a great job making this site.I play there very often.
good casino. long ago in the world of gambling. a lot of games. team of professionals.there is a minus paying long
I like their slots with good payout, which I can’t find anywhere else. They a trustfully company and payout is 3-5 days.
888 Casino is upgrading its own casino software since its first day of development since 1996. It started as a small, but extremely efficient software platform at the time of the first release, while now 888 Casino is one of the most powerful and sophisticated casino platforms in the industry, offering a huge selection of games and impressive graphics performance.
