In short: PlayOJO is an online casino launched in 2017 and operated by Skill On Net Ltd. It holds a UK Gambling Commission licence (account 39326) and a Malta Gaming Authority licence, and its Ontario site is regulated by the AGCO under iGaming Ontario. It does not accept players from the United States.

PlayOJO is an online casino launched in February 2017 that has caused quite a stir in the online gambling community with its fun website and innovative approach towards rewarding players. The casino’s interface is easy on the eye albeit a bit quirky. When the website loads, you are greeted by the casino’s mascot, a very cute and likable alpaca that is also featured in PlayOJO’s TV ads. The pastel blue, pink and purple colors that dominate the layout are also quite uplifting. There are more than 1,000 authentic casino games and slots you can play right in your browser since PlayOJO is an instant play casino and does not require you to download anything. These have been designed by some of the world’s top casino software suppliers like NetEnt, Microgaming, Bally Technologies, Amaya, and Play’n GO. The live dealer section is powered by Evolution Gaming, NetEnt and Extreme Live Gaming.

Unlike most of the other gambling operators, PlayOJO treats its customers to cashable bonuses they can withdraw from their accounts. In addition to this, there is also a one-of-a-kind loyalty program where players, or OJOers as the operator calls them, can receive cold hard cash for every dollar they deposit and spend on the games, instead of having to collect points and exchange them for meager free-credit rewards. Payments to and from the website are conducted with laudable speed and efficiency. If necessary, you can also give a shout out to the PlayOJO team via the live chat. In our experience, they proved to be very efficient in providing the information we needed and are on standby to assist you at all times.

Software Providers

It will immediately strike you PlayOJO is a modern casino when you load its vibrant and polished website. Unlike many of the veteran gambling operators in the industry, PlayOJO has embraced the idea of teaming up with many different software suppliers and this enables it to provide players with a more diverse gaming offering. The casino hosts a bevy of compelling slots, table games and video poker varieties, developed by some of the best software providers in the world.

Many of the slots are courtesy of well-known suppliers like WMS, NetEnt, Microgaming, Play’n GO, Mercur, Scientific Games, Yggdrasil, Nyx, and Barcrest. The games are all certified as fair and the casino boasts an overall player return rate of 97%. One of the coolest features of the website is that when you hover your mouse cursor over the thumbnail of a given game, it shows you the biggest win it has awarded so far along with the number of times it has been played over the course of the last six hours.

The table games run on proprietary software developed by SkillOnNet Limited but this does not mean they are not playable. On the contrary, you will be amazed by the high level of authenticity with which they recreate the atmosphere of the landbased roulette, blackjack and baccarat tables. There is also a separate section dedicated to the games streamed in real time and hosted by actual dealers. PlayOJO uses software by Evolution Gaming, NetEnt, and Extreme Live Gaming.

Selection of Games

One can hardly argue PlayOJO offers an immense variety of premier games, with over 1,000 compelling titles up its sleeve. These are categorized on the basis of type but there is also a search box for players who are seeking concrete titles. There is no need to download anything since PlayOJO is an HTML5 instant-play casino, enabling you to load the games in real-money and demo mode directly in your internet browser.

If you happen to like a game (and you most probably will), you can add it to your list of favorites by hovering your cursor over its thumbnail and clicking on the heart icon that will appear. There is a drop-down menu to the left that enables you to pick a software supplier and view only the games developed by that particular brand.

Video Slots

This is the bulkiest category of games at PlayOJO where you can literally find thousands upon thousands of online video slots. When you click on this category, it will first show you the most popular titles on top along with the biggest prizes fellow OJOers have earned when playing them. As you browse through this section, you will be amazed by the staggering versatility of themes and features the slots boast.

You will find some classic fruit titles inspired by the old-school one-arm bandits, including simplified yet compelling slots like Fruit Shop, Fruit Fiesta, Call of Fruity, Super 7 Reels, Irish Gold, and Jackpot Jester. The drop-down menu to the left allows you to sort the slots depending on their volatility, theme, number of reels and paylines, and special features.

While we are on the topic of features, let us mention you will find a massive range of advanced video and 3D slots that are loaded with cool functionalities and great animations for the best possible playing experience. We suggest you try some of the most popular titles like Vikings Go to Hell, Easter Island, The Book of Dead, Immortal Romance, and Great Wild Elk along with the progressives such as Arabian Nights, Mega Moolah, Winstar, and Mega Fortune.

Table Games

Table games at PlayOJO do indeed appear to be scarce amid this staggering abundance of classic and video slots but they are, after all, present in the casino’s collection. The majority of them are designed by the casino’s owners over at SkillOnNet Limited that offers a fresh approach towards virtual casino games development. When you click on your desired game, the software would prompt you to choose your preferred betting limit, with the option to choose from three different caps, standard ($1 -$300), high rollers ($5 – $500), and VIP ($10 – $1,500).

Players interested in roulette have the three standard varieties of the game to pick from, European, French, and American Roulette. Blackjack fans have a choice from American or European Blackjack Turbo, but keep in mind the latter is no hole-card game so that you cannot insure your hands against dealer blackjacks. You can also play baccarat and its popular variation Punto Banco.

Video Poker

There is no category designated specifically for video poker games, you will find these in the Card Play section of the website. The video poker variations are also created by SkillOnNet Limited and boast a fresher, more stylized design and improved gameplay. You can play 3-handed, 10-handed or 25-handed Jacks or Better and all variations of the game offer you the full pay of 9/6 when you win with a full house or a flush.

Other great alternatives for OJOers interested in video poker include Deuces Wild, Joker Poker, and Aces and Faces, which are also available in single and multiple-hand formats. You can wager one to five credits per hand but denominations differ depending on which variant you play.

Live Casino Games

To compensate for the lack of diversity where virtual table games are concerned, PlayOJO boasts a greater versatility of live-dealer options to the benefit of players looking to join the action in real time. Many of the games in question are streamed from the authentic live studios of Evolution Gaming and NetEnt. Some are provided by the less popular software supplier Extreme Live Gaming, which is by no means a disadvantage.

On the contrary, this way you get to try some less common live variations of your favorite classic casino games including Ra Roulette, Low Limit Auto Roulette, Golden Ball Gameshow Roulette, Italian Blackjack, and Super 6 Baccarat.

Supported Devices

Desktop users can play all available games offered by this innovative instant-play casino in their browsers without installing any additional software. PlayOJO runs a mobile responsive website that you can access via any browser as long as it is up to date. Additionally, you have the option to download the PlayOJO iOS-compatible application from the Apple App Store.

This will give you an instant access to a world of quality mobile casino games you can load with a single tap and play whenever you feel like it. The iOS application is very easy to install and will bring over 500 premium games at your fingertips, offering you a truly compelling experience that will make you forget about the tediousness of everyday routines.

All the functionalities and playability of the desktop casino have been recaptured by the mobile iOS app. You deposit and withdraw with ease, earn bonus rewards, and browse through a long list of top-shelf mobile casino games. The only downside is that it takes up some storage space and requires a recent iOS version so it may not work on older iPads or iPhones. If you lack the space or are reluctant to install the iOS app for whatever reason, you can open the casino in your Safari browser and even add its address as a shortcut to your homescreen for a quicker access.

PlayOJO has taken into consideration the needs of Android users as well. They have the opportunity to play via the in-browser Android app. There is even a step-by-step tutorial on how exactly to do this. For the purpose, the player simply needs to load the PlayOJO website in the browser of their Android smartphone or tablet and tackle the settings in the menu to add it as a shortcut to their homescreen.

Both the iOS and the Android versions of the website are highly functional, especially when one has a reliable connection to the internet while on the go. Similarly to the desktop version of PlayOJO, players can first try the games in demo mode without committing with a deposit. Boosting your account with some cash or cashing out your wins is just as straightforward on the move as it is on your computer or laptop.

Bonuses and Promotions

The current offer for your country is shown below. Always read the full bonus terms, including wagering requirements, expiry and maximum cashout, before you opt in.

Banking Methods

If this your first time depositing at an online casino, we suggest you take the video PlayOJO tour to find your way around. The cashier at the website is very simple to work with, sparing you the hassles and nerves. When funding your account, you have a vast choice of trusty methods of payment, such as Visa, Solo, Switch, Mastercard, Maestro, Visa Direct, Instant Banking by Citadel, ecoPayz, PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, Direct eBanking, Paysafecard, wire transfers, and fast bank transfers.

The minimum deposit you can transfer to your balance is $100 for the wire transfers and $10 for the remaining methods of payment. Unlike many of its competitors, this gambling operator charges fees on players’ deposits, the only exception being the payments carried out via credit and debit cards, Citadel, and bank transfers.

The fees you are facing largely depend on what deposit method you are using. The most cost-efficient one is the Visa Direct platform where a fee of 2.5% applies. Those who deposit via the above-listed e-wallets will be charged a 3.5% fee while the most expensive payment solution here turns out to be Paysafecard where a 5.0% charges apply.

Withdrawals can be conducted via cards, Skrill, Neteller, ecoPayz, PayPal, Visa, Maestro, Citadel, Direct eBanking, and fast bank transfers, among several others. The availability of some of these methods depends on your country, so you may not be able to cash out with some of the supported options. The minimum amount you can withdraw from your PlayOJO account is $20, unless you are using wire transfers where the minimum is set to $30. The withdrawal maximum is limited to $10,000.

The processing times are among the shortest out there, with payments being released from the OJOers’ accounts within a few hours. Once the withdrawal has gone through, it will take between 2 and 7 business days until the money hits your account, provided that you are using a card or a wire transfer. Withdrawals returned to your digital wallet account are normally completed within the same day you have requested them. No additional charges are imposed on withdrawals. The casino processes deposits and withdrawals in any of the listed currencies – GBP, USD, EUR, CAD, AUD, DKK, SEK, NOK, ZAR, CHF, GEL, PLN, BGN, HUF, JPY, MXN, MYR, RON, SGD, and RUB.

Customer Support

At PlayOJO, they value all their OJOers no matter whether they are recreational players betting humble amounts or A-listers who like to play big. This translates into a commendable level of customer care via a fully functional chat facility that is staffed by some of the most complaisant support representatives we have ever come across. You can use the chat to ask for information only after you sign up with a real-money account at the website which is slightly inconvenient for prospective customers who are seeking more information.

Nevertheless, there is a quite helpful FAQ section under the Help tab and you are almost guaranteed to find the answers you need there without being forced to register and get in touch with the customer support crew.

The customer support department at PlayOJO operates around the clock, so you can start a chit chat with the representatives of the team any time you feel like it. Not only are the members of the support crew very obliging and easy to talk to but they also boast quite a high level of competence about all things related to gambling at the website.

They can assist you with all aspects of account management no matter whether you are having your deposit declined or a looking to cash out your profits. The alternative for you would be to drop them a line or two via email, i.e. if you are not looking for an instant response. The website is available in English, Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian and German.

Licensing and Restricted Countries

PlayOJO is operated by Skill On Net Ltd, which holds a UK Gambling Commission licence (account 39326) for players in Great Britain and a Malta Gaming Authority licence (MGA/CRP/171/2009) for other markets. In May 2023 Skill On Net agreed to pay £305,150 under a regulatory settlement with the UK Gambling Commission.

Under the vigilant eyes of its two respected regulators, the casino does its best to ensure all its customers are provided with a protected and secure environment where they can gamble safely and responsibly. All customers are allowed to impose their own deposit limits for the day, week, or month.

Those who feel gambling has already slipped out of their control are provided with the chance to set play limitations for themselves. There are three different options for players whose gambling has become problematic, cooling off, self-exclusion, and temporary suspension. Players who have chosen the cool-off option will be able to access their accounts but are prohibited from making any deposits until the cooling-off period elapses. Those who exclude themselves, either permanently or temporarily have their emails removed so that they are not sent any marketing materials to tempt them, which we must admit is laudable on behalf of PlayOJO.

We previously mentioned a few words about the restrictions PlayOJO imposes on players from several countries that are unable to participate in the promotional incentives at the website due to legal restrictions. Such limitations also apply to who is permitted to join the community of OJOers. The operator accepts only customers who are 18 years old or older and are not residing in any of the following countries and locations –
Algeria, Angola, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, China, Congo Democratic Republic, Cote d'Ivoire, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Greece, Haiti, India, Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Laos, Lebanon, Lithuania, Mali, Mexico, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, Nepal, Netherlands, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Sudan, Spain, Switzerland, Syria, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, United States, Venezuela, Viet Nam, Yemen.
