In short: Pay by phone lets you add a casino deposit to your mobile bill or deduct it from prepaid credit, confirmed by an SMS code. Deposits are quick but limited to small amounts, fees may apply, licensed casinos still verify your identity, and withdrawals must go to another method such as a bank transfer or eWallet.
There are many online payment solutions that gamblers use to deposit money to their online casino of choice. These vary from credit cards to eWallets to online banking and more. These are tried and true services that are supported by the vast majority of gambling websites. However, we would like to bring to your attention one of the newest and most intuitive methods of payment currently available to users. The option to pay by phone is becoming increasingly popular in many gambling communities and many different services are emerging to satisfy the demand.
Overview
Paying by Phone is a relatively simple concept to grasp and even easier to utilize. The way it works is that you make a deposit to an online casino and the charge is added to your next phone bill or, where supported, deducted from your prepaid credit. The service requires little if any, setup and the funds will be immediately available for you to gamble with.
Top 4 Deposit/Withdrawal via telephone Casinos that Welcome Players From OHIO
As you can see, this is a very straightforward service, allowing you to make easy and convenient deposits. The whole process takes less than a minute and only involves a few clicks. Both mobile and desktop users can benefit from this kind of service and with mobile gaming becoming ever more popular, smartphone users will enjoy this payment method more than anyone.
Depositing Money to Online Casinos
Using a Pay by Phone service to deposit to online casinos is inherently easy and it can be done by just about anyone. Once you have opened an account and are on the Deposit page of the online casino, you will have to select the Pay by Phone service that you wish to use. After that, you will have to enter the relevant information and confirm the transaction. This is usually done by entering a code sent via text message to your phone. After that, the transaction should be processed instantly. This whole thing takes no more than a minute or two, making this one of the fastest and most convenient services available to you. It is especially, beneficial for those who would rather not deal with the banks or other payment institutions. Many of the payment solutions online require personal and banking information that some players may want to keep private. Additionally, that data has to be verified before most users can get to utilise the given service to its full potential.
Pay by Phone keeps your card and bank details away from the casino, but licensed casinos still verify your identity. The minimalistic approach allows you to start playing within a few clicks but it does not make you anonymous, because your number is linked to you and the casino will still run age and identity checks. There are only a few services that can offer you that, such as prepaid cards, although they have to be bought before you can use them.
Withdrawing Money from Online Casinos
While deposits with Pay by Phone are incredibly fast and convenient, withdrawals are a different matter. In fact, they are not possible at all. This kind of service can only send money one way and that is not targeted towards you. Much like prepaid services, Pay by Phone does not give you the option to move money both ways.
If you deposited via your phone and you wish to cash in your winnings, you will have to resort to a different payment method. Bank transfers are commonly used in this scenario.
Fees and Limits
Generally, Pay by Phone services are relatively cheap to use, primarily because some of them are run by a coalition of operators or by independent companies, that have made deals with their supported mobile operators. Some providers or casinos charge a fee for phone-bill deposits, so check the amount shown before you confirm. The amount that is charged to your phone bill at the end of the payment cycle is not always the same as the amount credited to your casino balance, because fees can apply. Often it is the case that online payment methods have small charges, which ultimately pile up over time. So it is worth comparing the total cost with other payment methods.
However, nothing is perfect and Pay by Phone does come with one inherent disadvantage that may have a great effect on how you use the service. This type of payment method will, typically, allow you to make only transactions in small denominations and there will most likely be a daily limit on how much you can spend. This makes Pay by Phone unsuitable for high rollers and anyone who would like to gamble with more than spare change. On the other hand, budget-oriented players may welcome the low limits, as it will allow them to stick to a budget and not go overboard with their spending.
Security
One of the best aspects of Pay by Phone is the inherent security that it offers you. More traditional methods of payment require you to submit some form of personal and banking information. This practice, while necessary from a legal point of view, is not particularly liked by players and discard excellent services because they want to keep their information private. Identity theft is one of the most serious problems that users may encounter online and many are apprehensive about submitting their name, address, credit card information, etc. to third parties. In this regard, Pay by Phone keeps your card details private, although your mobile operator knows who you are and the casino will still verify your identity.
As far as other services are concerned, prepaid cards offer a similar level of privacy at the cashier, but those can be inconvenient to obtain. Pay by Phone, on the other hand, is available via your smartphone, which you always have on you. Moreover, since only you can confirm the transactions, there is no need to worry about anyone else making charges to your phone bill. Using Pay by Phone will allow you to fully enjoy yourself at your favorite online casino, without the need to worry about someone else misusing your funds.
Conclusion
Overall, Pay by Phone is a reliable and easy to use payment method. It will allow you to make instant deposits without sharing card or bank details. The fact that this deposit method does not require you to enter card or bank details is a plus and it can benefit you greatly. That being said, we also have to consider that you will not be able to withdraw any winnings via Pay by Phone. It can only be used to deposit and you will have to rely on a different service if you wish to receive any cash.
This payment method is ideal for players who have to stick to a budget or do not wish to spend any time setting up a more complex service. With all of this in mind, you need to weigh the advantages and disadvantages and draw your own conclusion, whether Pay by Phone can meet your needs. If that is not the case, we have covered many other different payment solutions on this website and you can freely browse until you find one that suits you.

FAQs
What is Pay by Phone?
It is one of the newest alternatives to online payments and e-wallet services, commonly used by online gamblers.
How does it work?
Whichever amount of money you use for depositing gets added to your next phone bill. Simple as that.
Is it simple to use?
Yes, it is straightforward, as you only need to enter a code that’s sent to you via SMS. It only takes a minute of your time and all you need is a phone.
Do you have to share any personal info?
No, they don’t need any of your personal or banking info, just your phone number.
Can you use it for withdrawals?
Unfortunately, no, you will have to find another banking method for that.
Are there any fees involved?
It all depends on your phone carrier.
Are a phone-bill deposit and a payment made on a phone the same thing?
No. A mobile browser can be used for cards, wallets or bank payments without charging the phone bill. Identify the funding source shown by the cashier. If the payment is carrier billed, check the mobile operator’s conditions as well as the casino’s terms.
Does a pay-by-phone confirmation message prove the casino credited me?
Check both the mobile-payment record and the casino transaction history. A message confirming authorisation does not always show the final casino credit. Keep the payment reference, amount and time, and contact official support if the records disagree before repeating the payment.
Should I approve an unexpected pay-by-phone payment request?
No. Match any request against a transaction you deliberately started in the authenticated cashier. Do not share confirmation codes with someone claiming to be support. If the amount or merchant is unfamiliar, stop and use the provider’s or mobile operator’s official support channel.
What happens to pay-by-phone payments if I change my phone number?
Ask the payment provider or mobile operator how the change affects pending transactions and account access. Update the casino’s contact details separately. Retain old transaction references before losing access to the number, and do not assume a new SIM automatically transfers a payment account or its records.
How should I track spending made through pay-by-phone?
Record each authorised payment alongside your casino transaction history instead of waiting for a later phone bill. Include charges shown before confirmation. Set a spending limit you can afford and stop when it is reached; an available mobile-payment allowance is not a gambling budget.

I have never been a fan of this method and I think its not widely accepted. Can be used at most casinos that offer live gaming but fees are exorbitant and this method is prone to human error. I prefer using digital wallets and crypto currency which in my opinion is more safe and secure.

Deposit via phone has been surprisingly convenient for handling checks without needing to visit a bank branch. I’ve used it several times when I didn’t have time to go in person, and the process was pretty simple. Taking a photo and submitting the deposit through the app usually works on the first try, and funds tend to show up within the expected timeframe. There are occasional limits or holds, which can be annoying, but that’s understandable for security reasons. Overall, it’s a really helpful feature for modern banking and saves a lot of time. Once you get used to it, it’s hard to go back to depositing checks the old way. It’s been very convinient for my schedule.

I never thought that there's a way to turn my phone credit into casino fund. If I knew about this from last year I would have tried. But it must be complicated like many people here posted. Anyway, I have an easier way to do this thing. I want to introduce the quickest and easiest way that all online casinos in my country are offering us to deposit, it is a QR code scanning. This method is very convenient. Using bank's application to scan and pay. You won't realize how and when your money in the bank has gone because it is super fast.

I used to use this method allot but its sooooo expensive... I wouldnt reccomend it .. its a very bad way in my opinion because its a pay later way and pay later and casinos i dont think they should mix and also its been banned from allot of places. In the Netherlands at least

I never knew you could withdraw with this method, but i absolutely have used it to deposit funds on poker sites when they first started to get popular. I beleive the company was "navaho networks" and it was as easy as could be: you simply called a 900 number and entered a code that was given to you-then the charge would go on your phone bill. COuldnt have been easier

I don't use deposit/withdrawal via telephone for online gambling because the manual process just doesn't match the pace of my bets. Phone calls mean waiting, potential miscommunications, and delays that disrupt my fast, digital gaming flow. I prefer instant, automated transactions.

Strangely I have seen this option available on a few casinos, particularly Rival casinos and I must assume it's popular somewhere. Me personally I would not use this type of method. I am assuming you must read out your card numbers to the operator and that is a big security issue. Don't recommend

I have never used this payment and I probably will not use it. First of all, the transaction fee, I suspect, is unprofitable. Secondly, I have not come across a casino that has such an option except for one, but it was probably Russian and from Poland it was not possible to process. Thirdly, withdrawal using the same method is rather unrealistic unless you top up your mobile network account with prepaid haha
