Status update (October 2026): Australia Post closed POLi Payments in Australia on 30 September 2023; the New Zealand service was not part of that closure (Banking Day).

POLi availability

Bank linked to an online payment form

POLi’s Australian service ended on 30 September 2023. The official New Zealand POLi website explains that Merco acquired the New Zealand business and that service continues there. Availability in New Zealand does not imply availability in Australia.

Check the current provider information and the casino cashier separately. An old POLi logo or casino listing does not confirm that a deposit can be accepted.

Before making a payment

Deposit and withdrawal transfers with processing time

Confirm that your bank and the merchant support the current service. Read your bank’s terms for third-party payment services and follow the checkout instructions reached through the genuine merchant and provider websites. Do not install software from an old guide or an unsolicited message.

Check the payee, amount and currency before authorising a payment. A payment confirmation is not a guarantee that a casino will immediately credit its balance. Keep the reference and contact the relevant support team if a transfer is missing.

Confirm withdrawal support separately. Do not assume that a method offered for deposits can also receive casino payouts.

Fees and limits

Reviewing payment terms and conditions

Check the current provider, bank and casino terms for transaction limits and charges. Old Australian merchant tariffs are not a current New Zealand consumer fee schedule.

Security and privacy

Account security and personal data protection

No payment system can promise risk-free transactions or complete protection from fraud. Check the current privacy notice, protect your bank credentials and report suspicious payments to your bank promptly.

Checking current support

Use the current New Zealand provider website for service information. Confirm local eligibility and casino payment support before relying on any comparison entry below.

No local casino listings: no eligible casinos are currently listed for this payment method in your country or state. Worldwide examples and alternatives are shown separately below.

FAQs

What is POLI?

POLi is a bank-payment service. Its Australian service ended on 30 September 2023; the New Zealand business continues separately. Check the New Zealand provider’s current information and merchant support.

How Does it Work?

Where supported, POLi provides a bank-payment route at merchant checkout. Check current bank eligibility and follow the genuine provider’s instructions. A payment confirmation does not guarantee immediate casino credit or a refund.

Is it Safe?

No payment service guarantees that funds can never be lost or that transactions are risk-free. Review your bank’s terms for third-party payment services, check the recipient and amount, and report suspicious transactions promptly.

Does it require a registration?

Do not confuse the absence of a separate wallet signup with anonymity. Payment processing involves information about the transaction and bank account, and casinos can require registration and identity checks.

Are there any fees involved?

Check the current New Zealand provider, bank and merchant terms. The old Australian 1% tariff capped at AUD3 is not a current universal consumer charge, and “no fees or taxes” is not a reliable blanket promise.

Can I rely on an old POLi country list?

No. Check POLi’s current official availability, your bank’s support and the operator’s cashier separately. Coverage can change, and a historical guide is not confirmation that the service operates for your location. Do not use another person’s banking credentials or false location details to obtain access.

Does approving a POLi payment mean the casino has credited it?

Not necessarily. A bank authorisation, a completed transfer and an updated casino balance are separate stages. Compare the payment status in your banking service with the casino transaction history. If the bank shows completion but the casino does not, ask the operator to trace the reference before sending another payment.

Should I repeat a POLi payment after the browser times out?

Check your bank activity and the casino transaction history first. Closing a browser or losing the return page does not prove that a payment failed. Keep the original reference and ask support to confirm its status; repeating an uncertain payment can create a second debit.

What if the recipient details for a POLi payment have changed?

Use only the instructions in the operator’s current, authenticated cashier. Do not reuse a saved beneficiary or an old email without checking it. If the recipient or reference differs unexpectedly, pause and confirm the details through the casino’s official support channel before authorising anything.

Does the bank-account name matter when using POLi?

Check the operator’s account-ownership rules before paying. A casino may require the bank account and casino account to belong to the same person. Ask about joint accounts or a recent name change in advance, and submit any requested evidence only through the official secure verification process.

Polipay is a good last resort option if you dont have a visa/mastercard handy. Rather quick transaction times to deposit, and is supported on most casinos. But only use it when have lost my card 🤣 reliable option none the less.

I actually like Poli. It's reliable and quick. Only issue here for me is theyre always offline so the payment method disappears frequently and doesn't return for months. There's only one casino I've played on that actually has it from time to time. Would be better if it was a stable payment method.

Poli is a great payment method of you are in Australia. I have used it a few times and it is provided by AusPost as an overall payment method. There are only a handful of casinos that accept this payment method but other than that, it's very good. Recommended

Once I was shopping online and decided to pay with Poli. I believe I followed all the steps but something just didn't work out. What happened is they didn't deduct the necessary amount of money from the bank account I had linked to my Poli account. I had to go back to square one, which frustrated me. In the end, I had to pay using a different payment method.

Some payment methods don't allow you to send money to your relatives or friends, but this is not the case with Poli. I use it all the time, mostly when I shop online, but every now and then I play online casino games as well, so I use Poli to fund my accounts. Plus, they always send me a receipt instantly.
