Older edition — looking for another slot?

Explore Microgaming gamesFearless Frederick is a historical five-reel Microgaming slot with 1–30 selectable paylines. This article documents the older desktop edition in the original screenshots below. Frederick, the heroine, a red car, a meteor and flying saucers appear alongside card-rank symbols. The superhero substitutes for ordinary symbols; the shirt logo is the scatter.

Stake settings and payout units
The inspected screen shows a 0.20 coin value, 30 lines and 10 coins per line. Its displayed bet of 300 means 300 coins, or 60.00 currency units: 30 × 10 × 0.20. It is not a 300 currency-unit wager. These pictured settings do not establish the limits offered by every casino or edition.
Line awards use the coins staked on the winning line. Scatter awards use the total coins staked across the spin. Convert the resulting coin award to money with the selected coin value. Ordinary wins run from left to right; the shirt scatter can pay in any positions. The highest win on each selected line is paid, wins on separate lines are combined, and scatter wins are added.
Verified desktop paytable
The screenshot shows 7,000 for five Frederick symbols, correcting the previously listed 7,500. This is a line-award multiplier, not a multiplier of the complete 30-line spin cost. The figures below apply to the pictured edition.
| Symbol | Two on a Payline | Three on a Payline | Four on a Payline | Five on a Payline |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 9 | 0 | 5 | 10 | 100 |
| 10 | 0 | 5 | 10 | 100 |
| J | 0 | 10 | 15 | 125 |
| Q | 0 | 10 | 15 | 125 |
| K | 0 | 15 | 20 | 150 |
| A | 0 | 15 | 20 | 150 |
| Flying Saucers | 0 | 20 | 40 | 400 |
| Falling Asteroid | 0 | 30 | 75 | 500 |
| Frederick’s Car | 0 | 40 | 250 | 1000 |
| Beautiful Girl | 2 | 45 | 500 | 2000 |
| Wild | 10 | 100 | 2500 | 7000 |
| Shirt scatter — total-stake multiplier | 2 | 5 | 20 | 100 |

For example, at two coins per line and a 0.10 coin value, a five-car line returns 1,000 × 2 × 0.10 = 200.00 currency units. Playing 30 lines at those settings costs 6.00. Three shirts instead pay 5 times the total stake, or 30.00 in this example. Those are award amounts; subtract the spin cost when calculating net profit.
Substituting wild and heroic-deed feature
Frederick substitutes for symbols other than the shirt scatter. The rules double a combination’s prize when he substitutes in that combination. Do not automatically double the standalone all-Frederick paytable row again: the substitution rule describes a different situation.
Three or more scattered shirts start the feature. The player selects one of three deeds for Frederick to attempt. Success awards a cash prize or free spins; an unsuccessful attempt awards a consolation prize of twice the triggering bet. At a 6.00 triggering stake, that consolation is 12.00. The pictured rules do not provide the probability of success or establish that one choice is better than another.
Cash prizes use the triggering bet. During awarded free spins, wins are tripled and the triggering lines and bet remain in use. The feature can retrigger the number of free spins awarded by its original trigger. The inspected help screen does not specify a universal fixed spin count, so the exact award should be read from the game rather than assumed.

Optional gamble and edition checks
The optional card gamble doubles the amount risked for a correct colour prediction or quadruples it for a correct suit prediction. A wrong prediction loses that amount. A successful colour gamble on 5.00 returns 10.00 in total, rather than adding 10.00 while retaining the original 5.00. Collecting avoids risking the award again.
The source screenshots do not display an RTP declaration. No verified RTP or current availability is assigned here from the archive alone. A historical review, casino list or software label does not confirm that an operator still carries this exact release. Check the supplied game’s rules, paytable and local availability.
Fearless Frederick questions
Is the pictured five-Frederick award 7,000 or 7,500?
The inspected desktop paytable says 7,000. It uses the stake on the winning line, not the combined stake on 30 lines.
Does the shirt scatter need a payline?
No. It pays in scattered positions and its award is multiplied by the total stake.
Can Frederick replace the shirt logo?
No. The substitute rule excludes the scatter.
What happens if the selected heroic deed fails?
The rules award twice the triggering bet as a consolation prize. They do not state the success probabilities of the choices.
Are free spins always a fixed set of 25?
The inspected help screen does not establish that. It describes free-spin awards and retriggers tied to the original award; read the actual feature display for the number granted.
Does 300 on the bet meter mean 300 in cash?
No. At the screenshot’s 0.20 coin value, 300 coins represent 60.00 currency units.
