Ukash: Service Closure and Casino Payment Information

CND illustrated guide explaining payment security

Ukash voucher issuance and redemption ended globally on 31 October 2015. See Payfast’s Ukash discontinuation notice.

This page replaces our former guide to using Ukash at online casinos. The signup steps, funding instructions and casino acceptance lists have been removed because they would describe a service that is no longer available.

What happened to Ukash?

Ukash was a prepaid voucher payment system. Skrill acquired the business in 2015. Old Ukash voucher instructions are not instructions for using a current Paysafecard product, and an old code should not be assumed redeemable today.

Can I still deposit or withdraw with Ukash?

Do not use the former instructions on this page to attempt a new payment. An old casino logo, review or payment-method list is not evidence of current availability. If a cashier still displays Ukash, ask the operator to clarify its current payment options before sending money.

Old transactions and casino balances

If your question concerns money held by a casino after an earlier Ukash payment, contact the operator through its verified support channel. Ask which withdrawal route it can accept and what account-ownership or identity checks are required. Keep your transaction references and correspondence. A payment service’s closure does not itself establish whether a particular balance or refund is recoverable.

Checking other payment methods

Our casino payment-method guides explain other types of payment. Before choosing one, check the provider’s current terms and the operator’s cashier for your country and currency. Confirm deposits and withdrawals separately, including fees, limits and processing times. A method offered for deposits is not necessarily available for withdrawals.

Frequently asked questions

Does the closure of Ukash mean the casino itself has closed?

No. A payment service and a casino are separate businesses. Ukash is described as discontinued in this guide, but that does not establish the status of any particular operator. Check the casino independently and ask it how an existing account balance can be handled through a currently supported route.

Can an old Ukash casino listing confirm current acceptance?

Ukash is identified as discontinued in this guide. A historical logo, video or casino list is not evidence that the service can process a new payment. Treat the old instructions as background information and check current payment options directly with the operator.

Which records should I keep for an unresolved Ukash transaction?

Keep statements, dated receipts, transaction references and previous correspondence. Establish whether the unresolved amount is recorded with the payment service or in the casino account. These are separate balances, and a record of the original payment does not by itself establish where the money is now.

Can another payment service automatically recover my Ukash balance?

Do not assume that a similar name, acquisition or replacement product transfers an old balance. Look for an official notice covering the specific service and your account. Avoid anyone requesting a new payment or a secret code to “unlock” funds without a verifiable official process.

What if a casino asks me to withdraw through Ukash?

Explain that the service is discontinued and ask the operator for a supported alternative and its ownership-verification requirements. Keep the reply in writing. Do not open duplicate accounts or send an additional deposit simply because an unsolicited message claims it will release the withdrawal.

I don’t like having to enter 9 or 15 digits every time I want to pay online. Sometimes it doesn’t accept my PIN number even if it has been entered correctly. I use Ukash because it’s convenient for online casino games, but there are some things that I don’t like about it.

I used to make payments online using Ukash in the past. I would still be using them had I not lost my Ukash voucher. I know it was my fault, but there was lots of cash there and the company said they couldn’t do anything to retrieve my money. I was very disappointed. If you use your voucher, it’s like you lose your wallet!

As a casino player, I want to protect my privacy online. Using payment cards to fund my online accounts is not an option for me because scammers are everywhere. That’s why I use Ukash. I feel much safer using this payment method than others. Plus, payments are made really quickly.
